Australia’s most in-demand projects: The 2018 Infrastructure Priority List

 

Queensland’s Brisbane Metro has been identified as one of the country’s highest priority projects in Infrastructure Australia’s 2018 Infrastructure Priority List.

Each year, the list identifies the country’s most in-demand projects based on the strategic merit and national significance of each project (as determined by Infrastructure Australia). NSW has well and truly topped the list, with 33 priority projects in total. Mentionable projects from QLD include Brisbane Metro, Inland Rail, Beerburrum to Nambour Rail and the Rocklea to Darra Ipswich Motorway Upgrade.

Here’s a brief round-up of the list:

High Priority Projects:

  • M80 Ring Road Upgrade
  • M4 Motorway Upgrade
  • WestConnex
  • Brisbane Metro
  • Sydney Metro
  • Western Sydney Airport

Priority Projects:

  • Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade
  • Northern Road Upgrade (NSW)
  • Inland Rail (Melbourne – Brisbane)
  • Eyre Infrastructure Project
  • Hobart Science and Technology Precinct
  • Myalup-Wellington Water Project
