How was our guide developed? 

We pride ourselves on the rigorous data collection process we've honed to deliver the most accurate and representative salary benchmarks.

Report methodology:

The Peopleconnexion Salary Survey collected data from February 2024 to May 2024, and received over 3000 individual professional responses across Papua New Guinea, both local and expats. We also reached out to a broad number of clients and employers, collecting data from over 20 companies, representing over 5,000 employees in PNG, again using local and expat data. These clients reported on salary, hiring intentions, benefits and remuneration packages and general recruitment and HR trends.

Additionally, Peopleconnexion PNG has leveraged on our Contractor and Placement database, including data and roles from over 500 professionals' salaries in 2024.

This totals over 8,500 data points reported on in this edition of our Salary Guide. 

The data gathered from our Salary Survey has been evaluated and analysed by an external actuarial consultant to produce the contents of The Guide, and what we believe is the most accurate and up-to-date survey of its kind in the PNG jobs market.
