QLD Greenfield Project

Our client was shortlisted for a major tender, along with four other consortiums for the overarching Project Management Consultant position for a major $16bn pit to port project. They needed help to compile a talent list for the tender.

“Being a renowned design consultancy, they needed to beef up skills in construction and project delivery. Our brief? Source those key potential employees, engage in discussions and see if they?d be interested to be included in the tender. Our instructions were clear ? find local people with significant coal and mega project experience over the $1bn mark.

We needed specialist talent for the areas of mining (open and underground), infrastructure (offsite and CHPP), port, and rail. Our whole team dropped everything for two weeks, tapping into our network of coal and infrastructure professionals. Given the competition in the market with other consultants also scouting around for similar expertise, we developed a consent form for all candidates to sign not only authorising their permission to be presented as part of our client’s tender but agreeing they wouldn’t be presented with any other tender.

Our goal was a set number of submissions ? which we met six-fold. The final result was more than 80% of our presented candidates were selected by our client for an initial discussion. Then we liaised with each candidate to create tailored CVs and photos for the tender. The end result is evident in the employer’s comment: ?In my 30+ years in the industry I’ve never had the pleasure of working with an agency with such professionalism and efficiency ? you’ve delivered above and beyond.?
