The State of the Engineering Profession: 2017

It’s hard to believe engineering used to look like this:

Today, engineers are tasked with solving challenging questions we never imagined would need answering:

• How do we design roads for driverless cars?
• Can we protect critical infrastructure from cyber attacks?
• What is the best way to create sustainable energy systems?

In Australia alone, engineers will design and roll out some of the nation’s largest projects.
